Teddy’s mission is to provide a pathway to self-employment for homeless individuals passing through our area and hotels. Through partnerships with BBX and BBX Pound Charity, they receive support to establish their own businesses, with the initial fee covered and £5000 in Trade spending provided for essentials like cards and leaflets. Armed with letters of recommendation and newfound self-confidence, even part-time endeavours can lead to autonomy and economic independence.”
Our Purpose
At My Little Teddy, we are committed to assisting mothers and children facing homelessness and temporary accommodation transitions, such as staying in hotels, with limited resources. Combatting The Stigma
Through educational programs, we address the stigma faced by children in temporary accommodation, offering resources and support to schools to create inclusive environments. Monthly ambassador awards incentivise fundraising and awareness efforts among students.
Aiding Vulnerable Individuals
We extend our support to single individuals, particularly females with mental illnesses or autism, who find themselves on the streets with nowhere to turn. By fundraising, we offer temporary shelter and assistance, keeping them safe from the elements.
Second Hand Store
Our charity operates a second-hand store for clothing, furniture, and other donations, providing affordable options and reducing waste while supporting our initiatives.
Transport Assistance
We raise funds for bus passes to help families access essential services, including school transportation, especially when they are relocated across the city by local authorities.
